The world's tallest beach hut
Littlehampton's old coastguard tower isn't mine. In fact, I didn't even go to the auction. The guide price of £20,000 (which isn't the kind of money I have sitting around at the moment - although I had a master plan involving various credit cards!) ended up being exceeded by over 100%. It evenually sold for £42,000 to a Brighton-based chap who did have that sort of money sitting around. (The full story is in Brighton's The Argus). Good luck to him - it'll be interesting to see what it becomes. I rather fancied using the building as a tall, impractical office...

I want that!!!!! Oh goodness I could live there happilly!!!
I had similar thoughts, although the interior had been neglected for the past couple of decades - and your neighbour is the current coastguard station. Even so, I was contemplating a kitchen and bathroom on the 7-foot-square ground floor, a bedroom on the first floor and an office/lounge at the top.
Ooh yes, I could see myself living quite happily there.
Wouldn't that have been fun ?
i so wish i could live in one jep
Can quite see why you liked it - so would I....would indeed make a fabulous office/studio/crashpad....
btw, you were lucky with the spiral staircase job - spiral staircases are a nightmare, not only in feng shui terms are they said to make you lose allyour money but they're a killer (literally) when you're a bit the worst for wear.
Re the wallpaper, I couldn't agree more. It goes......quite soon.
